Genre Analysis

Issue of homeless in New York is slowly decreasing. The  homeless problem is one of the biggest problems in the United States , and it is all over the streets of cities. They sleep on the streets, steal things, attack people, take drugs, drink alcohol, gamble, and become mentally ill. But all levels of government in the United state have turned a blind eye to the homeless problem and left them to fend for themselves, but there are solutions at some level of government, few of which are not long term solutions. According to NYC Mayor Eric Adams launching a Cruel and Dangerous Attack on the Homeless, he decided to evict all the homeless who live in the subway. He said “The common misunderstanding persists that we cannot provide involuntary assistance unless the person is violent. Going forward, we will make every effort to assist those who are suffering from mental illness. He proposed strengthening enforcement of the existing Kendra Law, which allows individuals to be locked up for treatment if they pose a danger to others, even if the person is not violent. In fact, many homeless people are forcibly detained
